HI!
My name is Liana "Lia" Ono and I am currently a senior at Chapman University majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing alongside with a minor in Psychology. In addition, I am a libero on the Chapman Women's Volleyball Team. I'm passionate about understanding what makes people connect with a brand and turning these experiences into life long memories.Â

I originally entered as a Finance emphasis because I enjoy learning about how businesses operate and generate value. Over time, I realized that I was also interested in what motivates consumers, how brands build relationships, and how businesses communicate to consumers.

This realization led me to marketing. I worked at Central Pacific Bank as a marketing intern this past summer where I learned that marketing is the voice of the company. Working on real marketing initiatives that align with company culture from social media strategy to storytelling. This experience has revealed that marketing is more than about product advertisement, it is the voice of the company.Â

In my free time, I love to be in the water - surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and canoe paddling. I also love to try new foods, travel, spend time with friends and family.Â
